Beginners Class

Teaches the fundamentals of Pilates, focusing on:

  • Correct alignment in exercise start positions and movement
  • Breathing (thoracic breathing – using a larger volume breath & breathing patterns to facilitate movements)
  • Centring (learning core stability – how to connect to and use the core muscles)
Beginners – Improvers Classes

Suitable for beginners once a one to one session has been attended to cover the fundamentals of Pilates.

Improvers Class

Suitable for those that have completed a beginners course or have previous experience of Pilates.

These classes work on:

  • developing technique
  • improving core strength and stamina
  • working towards the more challenging intermediate exercises
Improver-Intermediate

This class focuses on continuing to build and improve upon stamina and core strength through the introduction of some of the more challenging Intermediate exercises.

Intermediate

This class contains some of the classical mat exercises, and preparation exercises for advanced mat.

All classes are 1 hour and run in blocks alongside school terms, (generally 6 or 7 classes per half term), breaking for half term and then continuing with another block.
